Local DID Numbers

Local DID service is an innovative solution for calling card companies, conferencing service providers, call center operators, voice portals, and other businesses that need local phone numbers in many markets across the country. Local DID service is offered in over 2000 rate centers thru out the US and Canada, with new international locations being installed thru the 2nd quarter of 2005.
Wildgate allows Next Generation Service Providers the ability to quickly select and provision local Direct Inward Dial (DID) terminated to their VOIP gateways anywhere in the world. This solution may mitigate the need to establish multiple Point of Presence. In addition, this solution allows for simple disaster recovery when a gateway fails or Internet connectivity solutions are not working. A DID number can be re-routed in real time automatically or manually via a web interface.

US Origination rates are based on volume and prepayment amount.
Prepayment credits expire 90 days after receipt.

Rates are subject to standard terms and conditions

Local DID services leverage Wildgate’s PSTN capabilities while giving customers the control they need to create new products and services through Voice over IP with new failover capabilities insure uninterrupted service. While doing so, interconnection expenses are reduced over comparable traditional services while allowing for additional network redundancy over having one single PSTN interconnection point.

    Benefits
  • Lower Price - Because of the efficiency using VOIP as a handoff mechanism you can have all DIDs integrated in one large trunk group, thus saving the costs of having dedicated trunk groups.
  • Coverage – A single trunk group can be created with end-to-end DID numbers and services nationwide.
  • Speed - Customers can self-provision, create and deliver applications faster, without large capital and network expenses that are associated with traditional solutions.
  • Streamlined call flows - Enables efficient call routing and streamlined back-end signaling.
  • Reduced maintenance costs - Application servers can be deployed and maintained at a single location, thereby reducing the time and money spent dedicated to servicing.
  • Control - Routing functionality is taken out of the provider’s network and placed with the customer.
  • Value - With a relatively small initial capital investment in an Edge Proxy Server, customers will see a much better return on their investment with an IP-based network versus a TDM-based network.
  • Disaster Recovery – If a destination SIP gateway is down the call can be routed to a series of other gateways or endpoints. In addition, traffic can also be balanced between multiple gateways or endpoints.
  • Interconnection Agreements - We have interconnection agreements thru out the US and internationally, we own and operate an extensive local trunking plant, and we provide industry-leading coverage.
  • We developed our own switch and billing platform. We do not own a single circuit switch but rather a nationwide distributed platform. Our platform is native, open-standard SIP.
  • Automation – Our first belief is in automation, we believe that most operational and billing services while comprising 80% of the work of building and scaling true softswitch services can also be automated. Due to our major push for automation we can deliver better quality to our customers and to a lower rate per minute at the same time.
  • At the heart of Wildgate’s ability to process and deliver phone calls lies our own proprietary softswitch, billing and provisioning platform. The switch supports the conversion of analog or traditional digital calls into data packets. Upon conversion, the call is transmitted using a lower-cost, more-efficient IP network.
